Today, i woke up in the mood for some Italian food. So i took some hamburger meat out of the freezer. So i started getting all of my ingredients together. This will make it easier later own when i started preparing my meal for later in the day.
First thing i do is get my hamburger meat in the frying pan to start cooking, and browning.
Then while my hamburger is browning, i start to chop my vegetables up, to cook my my hamburger cooks.
After i've chopped my vegetables up. I add them too my hamburger meat too cook in the juices from the meat. Here is the vegetables and meat cooking together.
I then get my tomatoes and my sauces together.
While my vegetables and hamburger continues to cook. I get my other ingredients together for my cheese mixture.
After, a few minutes of cooking the meat and vegetables are cooked and looking good.
I now layered the noodled in a pan to cook.
I next, mixed my tomatoes and sauces together. I also added a few spices in the sauce.
Next, i mixed my cheese, ricotta cheese, eggs together.
We are now ready to layer our lasagna. First layer is the sauce.
Layer two is 3 noodles, layed side by side.
Third layer is your cheese mixture.
After cooking for about 25 minutes, it's done.
Ingredients:
12 lasagna noodles, cooked
1 pound hamburger meat
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 cup onions, chopped
1 cup bell peppers, chopped
1 cup mushrooms, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
14 oz. ricotta cheese
2 large eggs, beaten
5 tbsp. Italian seasoning
1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 cup Italian cheese mixture
salt and black pepper
1 1/2 cups marinara sauce
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Cook lasagna noodles until done, according to package directions. Drain and reserve.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add hamburger, two tbsp. Italian seasoning, onions, peppers, and mushrooms and saute for a few minutes, cook until meat is done. Add garlic and saute for additional two minutes longer. Remove from heat.
- To make filling, combine hamburger mixture, ricotta cheese, eggs, remaining seasoning, 1/2 mozzarella, parmesan, Italian cheese mixture, season with salt and pepper.
- Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce in the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch casserole dish. Lay lasagna noodles on top of sauce in casserole dish and spread some filling onto the lasagna noodles. Re peat until all is in casserole dish. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top.
- Bake for about 25 minutes or until sauce is bubbling and cheese is melted.
- Refrigerate any leftovers.
