Goodevening fellow Steemians,
What a day, I woke up with my last post from the Mavic and I had to look twice to believe it! Thanks for the support! :)
Did a quick edit of my second flight in Imovie. Premiere resulted in some errors reading the mov files from the Mavic. Need to find out what the problem is there. But boy o boy what do I need to learn a lot about filming and taking pictures with a dron.e The difference in perspective with a normal camera is unbelievable. And then I need to watch my surroundings closely and pilot the drone and control the camera. Lots of things to learn but that's a good thing!
Lessons for myself after my second flight. My panning shots are way to quick. Need to learn and rotate the Mavic slowly. Already did some reading about the tripod mode. Another lesson is finding good perspectives and when do you start a shot.
Quick and dirty edit in Imovie from my second flight you can find here:
Resume
- slowing down while panning
- Controlling the Mavic while following a path (footsteps in the movie)
- Finding good perspectives
- Fix my Premiere
Now it's time to go to bed! Sleepwell my fellow Steemians.
Unfortunately i cannot watch the video as it is blocked in my country on copyright grounds.
However, with regards to your comments about controlling the Mavic, I am hoping to do a post on how to do more cinematic films using the Mavic; how to configure the gimbal movement and how to plan shots in advance.
Can't wait to read that post, perfect timing! ;)
About the copyright, youtube was complaining about the audio. So removed it and should be ok now. Tonight when I'm back at home will try a Dtube post.
Well done. Keep practicing and you'll learn all kinds of little tips and tricks to help you improve. I've been flying DJI drones for over 4 years and an still learning. So much fun! Regarding the panning, you can adjust the sensitivity of the control levers as well, which I found Makin them less sensitive helped for turns and panning. Cheers.
So I can adjust the sensitivy of the controller stick for a smoother panning? Is this what you mean:
?Yes, this is exactly what I'm talking about. I lowered the sensitivity on all settings quite significantly (EXP and sensitivity). Play around with the settings to find out what works best for your preferences.
Hey Man, i am also just starting, with a spark... and the sense of height is being difficult to adjust... i even had a little accident just coz of that... well done and keep on doing it mate!
what happened?
