This picture helped me coming with the title. The broken glass pattern is an interesting contemporary message of our relationship with reality.

bonding with reality is a process not a gift

The back ground reflection of the crane and the trees speak to me for man made activity in its direct environment. I feel that by looking at it, we see this relationship we have with nature and how the gap within ourself has broken the flow with healthy relationships in an industrial age. The emergence as a species that broke the line between the domination in place in term of environmental impact and its inability to solve the rooted problems of its
Sustainability.

Symbolic

Observing the crane symbol of productivity and exponential economy within the trees symbol of the natural world. The broken reality is in place and conveys that the broken glass represent our dilemma of actions.

The broken glass pattern is a mandala. Its natural shape speaks to me and i have been encountered many to realise that even in a broken patterns there is a centerpiece that impacted its shape and size. A cause of consequences.

Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn’t go away. (Philip K Dick)

Here is again two symbols of mankind and nature. The leaf sharing its coffin, which was made in this broken glass square that you found on footpath sometime, with a cigarette butt. Both are found on the ground and fall from a consuming energy. The tree absorbing CO2 emissions and the human inhaling the smoke of tabacco. The 2 joined in a decaying reality.

The broken mandala is a reflection of ourselves and impact my senses with irrational lines. creating art is more than seeing for what it is but rather explore the touch of reality when it shows you how you feel using your imagination.

Reality leaves a lot to the imagination.
(John Lennon)
