##A township build of light....
My image was inspired by this poem of Seamus Heaney
THE SINGER'S HOUSE
When they said Carrickfergus I could hear
the frosty echo of saltminers' picks.
I imagined it, chambered and glinting,
a township built of light.
What do we say any more
to conjure the salt of the earth?
So much comes and is gone
that should be crystal and kept,
and amicable weathers
that bring up the grain of things,
their tang of season and store,
are all the packing we'll get.
So I say to myself Gweebarra
and its music hits off the place
like water hitting off granite
I see the glittering sound
framed in your window,
knives and forks set on oilcloth,
and the seals' heads, suddenly outlined,
scanning everything.
People here used to believe
that drowned souls lived in the seals.
At spring tides they might change shape.
They loved music and swam in for a singer
who might stand at the end of summer
in the mouth of a whitewashed turf-shed,
his shoulder to the jamb, his song
a rowboat far out in evening.

The abstract images in the "The Energy & Process" series all originated as digital photographs.
Many are digitally processed.
My work is all original, except by way of inspiration from abstract expressionist artists of the
1950s, such as Pollock, Rothko or of Cy Twombly, and others. As I work with the shifting (or varying) colors and fluctuating (or free) forms in these images,
I am reminded of the interaction between elements and energy. Color and form come alive in my
imagination and become a part of the ongoing process of life. Abstract images are my way of
showing how mundane things can be transformed into mystery; a mystery that calls each of us
to explore, discover and embrace in their own way. If you are interested to see more you can aquire my Book "From Energy and Impression"
The series on Steemit
Welcome back. I was wondering where you disappeared to.
I wondered the same. Welcome back!
Life has been very, very hectic the last weeks,
new team in the job I'm part of,
PC problems and my father went seriously ill. Haven't been able to post at any network anything in the last 4 weeks :)
but Hope that it is more stable again (PC still doesn't work) thus I can steem again more. Thanks @hagbardceline @tarazkp
Hopefully, your dad is doing better and things ease up for you. Luck comes in waves. Good and bad. Wishing you some good.
The strange thing is: its been 4 weeks with joy and frustration, with happiness and stress @tarazkp.
The new tasks in job is wonderful thing to do, much fun, but also much work, I have achieved to get my first exhibition in November as well as my PC has crashed last weekend. Very dual somehow the last 4 weeks. Much darkness but much light as well
Perhaps it is the growing skill of a sensitive mind. Not consumed be the reflection of each facet but seeing the jewel.
Thanks!
All the best to you and your dad.
Thanks a lot!
