Can you tell from this photo what project I have been working on, and what progress has been made today?

Clutch? You got it removed? Which a single stripped bolt can make nearly impossible. I have fought for days to get a single bolt removed to then actually repair the problem.
I still need to pull the clutch off the drive shaft. 6 bolts on the back side of the assembly to pop it off the toothed wheel. It's a modular system, so I just swap the units.
Yep, that's a clutch, so you prolly unhooked the drive shaft, took out at least one cross member, maybe two, unhooked the clutch linkage and pulled the shifter boot and shifter off. Pulled the tranny out.
Charmed life friend ;)
Yanked the engine and tranny out. Tranny is bad. Swapping transmission from a previously-pulled dead engine to this engine, and dropping it all into the not-totalled car that had the dead engine, hopefully.
May the wrench gods smile upon you.
I knew immediately it was a clutch, I was trying to ID the bolt pattern....
It's a Chrysler corporation product. Does that help?
sundial horoscope :)
Ooh, I like this one!
Yep, a clutch.
Do you like driving a stick or are you just making the most of the car you have? I've had standard transmission cars for most of my life and I've got to say I'm not sorry to have left them behind.
I like standard. For an econobox, I get better performance. And I find it easier to drive on winter roads.
From, other people's comments I got to know that its a clutch. :p
Cheater! :p
I thought maybe it was a stargate...
Not quite. Close, but no cigar!
