My family and I decided to take a trip up to the Virginian Mountains. My brother said there is a beautiful hiking trail and wonderful waterfall at the Cascades National Recreational Park in Virginia. So that's where we went. I'm not a good hiker but I wanted to see the waterfalls too. So I ventured into the deep to search for those beautiful sceneries.
I saw many different trees, plants, and animals. And many folks brought their own families and pets with them.
We walked on the higher path that leads to the waterfalls because it was a bigger pathway. Though it definitely took my energy away just to walk up. Two pathways, the higher and lower paths, both connect at the waterfalls. The river that leaks from it is right beside our path so we get a great view of the never-ending current of nature
Along the way were some markers to help hikers find their way along the path. These markers were either paved stones or benches to sit on. My family took several breaks along the way because it was so tiring.
Unfortunately, we weren't able to make it all the way to the Cascades waterfall. My mother ran out of energy and was too tired to continue hiking, so we decided to go back down to the parking lot. Thank God though that we did, as we did not know until later on that the it was going to rain. We made it to the parking lot just in time as the rain started to heavily pour.
Nonetheless, it was a great hike and I had a lot of fun. I recommend going to the Cascades in Virginia if you ever get the chance. It's beautiful. Below are more pictures of our hike.
My Steemit posts are not MY posts without some music. During my hike, I was listening to various types of music with me. Here are some of my favorite to listen to, and I highly recommend listening to them while hiking. It'll transform your adventure into something more magical. And you don't have to be religious for the first one. You just need to listen to it while moving for the feel.
