It's not just a snapshot, meaning that while waiting, I had already figured out the settings (with test shots) before the bird returned to the nest, so all I had to do is wait for the right moment, focus and snap. I used auto-focus on those but like you see, the bird wasn't fully in focus, as the lens is slow and the bird is fast.
OK, if it usually happens in automatic approaches, I remember that sometimes I used to cheat by putting the camera in sports mode, ajajajajajajaja had a Canon 30D with which I worked a lot until the last of his days. ha ha ha ha ha ha
