Life Among The Petals

in #photography8 years ago (edited)

This tiny little bee was buzzing in and out of the flowers as I sat on the grass and watched (and took photos, of course!!)
It was maybe 1cm long.

Taken today with Canon SL1 and 100mm 2.8f with a 2.5x magnification filter

Oh man, great pictures there. I love these magnified macro shots, keep 'em comming.

nice work! followed you

Beautiful shots. The colours are so vibrant:)

THat is quite wierd

That lens just doesn't seem practical. haha You'd probably be better off using a 105mm prime or greater and you'd get a sharper image.

hard work bee to produce honey but if you did pose one minute to his excellent photography and congratulations

Impresive Pictures, some of them look like they are having a nice bath in pollen

The fourth one!!!!! The colors and the individual beads of pollen! So grateful you share your views, @jamtaylor!

This one looks like an Andrena - it's a mining bee or sand bee.

Yeah could be. It was teensy

Gosh but these are gorgeous :o) My favourite is the first - love clarity in the foreground and the bokeh in the background!

Nice. Are those little beads of pollen attached to the wasp?

Yup!

Cool. It's weird how things look like that at the tiny level.

Yeah I love it, that's why I've been so obsessed with macro and getting as close as possible. Tiny things are weird!

Beautiful shots. You got good detail on the insects.
