Isn't that what our whole life is all about - wait and see? Honestly, I am tired too, but what else can we small fishes do in this wide ocean? So, let's wait and see for another while - maybe we will be surprised, but hopefully in a good way ;)

I hope so. I read yesterday that Poleniex just delisted steem as one of the currencies they carry so that isn't a good sign.
So, you want to give up and leave the sinking ship? I have read that too, but at the moment I don't care - I might get worried, when Blocktrades gives me money if I take some Steem ;)
Seriously, although I have bought my Steem when the prices were down, I have already lost a lot money, because the prices are much lower now. A power down takes how long? 13 weeks? What if the price goes up again? There are a lot of whales who will loose hundreds of thousands - I don't think, they will let this happen. So, I wait and see ... and hope :)

Well I have faith in the blockchain unless I find out some bad news. It is Steemit that I have doubts about. Mainly long term staying strength as far as being able to add enough new members that will stay. Right now I don't think new people are joining in big enough numbers and I don't think they are staying.
I was told the retention rate was just 1%. I hope that is not true but if it is then the long term success of steemit is a big question mark. lol.
You are right, there are very few new names and because I am looking mainly for photography related posts, I can say, that mostly I don't like what I see: title "My photography" and a crap smartphone image, that's all. I don't mind smartphone photos at all, but not these facebook-like half eaten lunch photos and alike. I think, we have been talking about this before. No wonder they leave when they don't get upvotes nor any money.
Do people have to pay for an account or is it still free, and do they get some Steem with their new account, like we got 10 Steem, I think?Good morning @janton 🙂
Let's hope further on and let's hope you don't hear bad news. And let's hope if Steemit goes down, that the others like travelfeed.io or photostreem.com or creativecoin.xyz will stay.

Howdy tonight sir johannpiber! I am behind today as you can tell. Some people say it doesn't matter if Steemit goes down because we could use any of the other front end platforms like steempeak or esteem and that is probably true. So in other words we might be stuck with each other for a long time! lol.

Right, we might get old here together and I do hope, that they have internet in the retirement home ;) lol
I don't know, how it will work if Steemit is nomore, but I am already using Steempeak for preparing my posts and also travelfeed for making my travel related posts.
