I agree that unless the owners try to kill steemit off it should keep running. This year we'll know alot more, hopefully within 6 months.

I make my posts on Steempeak anyway and I also use travelfeed.io for travel related posts.

Because if it does get people on Steemit then Steemit has just started living ;)If somebody would explain the community function (for Dummies) that Steemit beta offers (https://beta.steemit.com/) I would be glad, because I have no idea yet how it works ;) ... but I have heard that it's a function that will bring us people from other social networks.

I haven't heard that it will bring people from other sites but if it does that is great. I'm sure when they officially launch there will be tons of great posts explaining it.
