Have you ever wondered why one picture attracts attention, and the other does not? Even if both of them seems good? I'm sure that you thought about it.
One of the secrets is the perspective of the frame!
Perspective is the degree of depth of the image. There are 4 types of perspective: linear, decreasing, air, temperature.
All of them give an incredible sense of the depth of the frame. Knowing these qualities of the perspective, you can strengthen them by creating a feeling that it is not a photograph, but a reality!
- The linear perspective is about converging lines as they are removed. Everyone knows that when you looking at the rails, they necessarily converge on the horizon. This perspective is easy to control when you shooting. The lower your point of shooting, the stronger this perspective. Wide-angle lenses give a much more precise perspective than portrait or telephoto lenses.
- The diminishing perspective is the reduction of objects when they are distant. The one who stands further from the camera seems smaller and slimmer.
- The aerial perspective is a haze and a reduced contrast. Closer to the horizon line, the effect should be stronger. A little blur the horizon with any option from the blur filters is simple enough. A lowered contrast can be obtained by an inverse S-shaped curve.
4️. The temperature perspective is the colder temperature of distant objects. Warm tones bring the object closer, and the cold move away the object. Accordingly, you can selectively tint pictures at minimum transparency.
