Hello all green plant lovers... happy weekend🫱🫲

Today I tried to plant a Japanese Papaya tree or Chaya in my yard, because I really like it and even really love this plant because besides being a vegetable it is also good for our health.

Well... Chaya leaves or Cnidoscolus aconitifolius are plants or vegetable plants that are new to Indonesia, our people often call it Japanese Papaya because it is similar or similar to papaya leaves, this plant comes from Central America which is known as Chaya. Japanese papaya also has international names, namely Tread softly, Combage star, Chaya and Tree spinach.

Japanese papaya leaves are very easy to cultivate widely, these leaves have quite a lot of benefits and uses in general for vegetables and medicines, Japanese papaya leaves are used as vegetables such as raw vegetables, shrimp paste chili sauce, spicy stir-fry and so on, Japanese papaya leaves can also overcome anemia, hypertension, obesity, diabetes, increase breast milk and can improve vision and brain function.

It turns out....Japanese papaya leaves can also be used for beauty such as reducing acne, treating dark spots, reducing inflammation, brightening the skin and preventing premature aging. Japanese papaya leaves are a source of protein, calcium, iron, vitamins containing vitamins C, D, and E, have complex nutrition, namely macronutrients and micronutrients.

Japanese papaya leaves can be dangerous if not cooked or boiled in boiling water for 15 minutes, because they contain toxic cyanogenic glycosides, after that they are safe for consumption.

Well, you need to be aware...
It turns out that Japanese papaya leaves contain cyanide poison which is dangerous if not handled properly...
