This afternoon I was able to capture a family of Sandhill Cranes. A couple of weeks ago, I saw a family of Sandhill Cranes feeding on worms. I'm not sure if it is the same family of Cranes, for it was in a different area of woods, but nonetheless, I was able to capture macro photography of each bird and then all of them together. All shots were taken with a Canon 80D camera.
The first set of shots is of the baby crane:
The second set of shots is of one of the bird parents. I believe it to be the mother, because it was staying reasonably close to the baby.
The next set of shots is of the other Crane parent, which I believe to be the male Crane:
The last set of shots is of multiple Cranes in the shot:
What a beautiful day to spend in nature with beautiful creatures.
One love,
beautiful pics
Well done .. wonderful pictures, glory to the creator
Great post from you
Thanks for sharing your experience
You take great pictures. Those cranes are beautiful. Need you to come to the farm and make my cows and goats look that good;)
Haha, you're doing a good job. I feel like the camera is doing most of the work, but I appreciate it. Try some shots midday but so that the sun is not beating down on their face. Also, you could capture some amazing shots of silhouettes of the cattle on a hill as the sun is going down. People love silhouette shots! I know I do at least.
Great advice. Will give it a try
