Orbital module Trace Gas Orbiter (TGO) as part of the mission "exomars" sent to Earth the first pictures of Mars and instrument data, according to the European Space Agency.
Now TGO moves in elongated orbits of Mars and is located 230 kilometers from the surface. At this stage, the probe checks the sensor performance, collects data about the planet and makes highly detailed images on CaSSIS camera.
The photos were taken over the terrain at the equator of Mars, called "Labyrinth of the Night." Photo study scientists to obtain information about this mysterious site. After calibration, the camera will shoot CaSSIS with better detail.
