About 9 months ago I posted here some of what I think were best out of my trail camera pictures in 2017.
Here is link to that one...

I got my first trail camera 07/2017 and another one at 09/2017. It has been a learning process and a balancing out between capturing many different species and coming out with as nice pictures as possible. Sometimes weight has been more on another and some times on another one.

Sometimes you have to discard some nice spot just out of "wind issue". If it's a windy spot and there is lot of things wind can move you would end up with card full of "wind pictures" if you keep camera there for several day. Then you have to think how much evening or morning moisture in that place could be.

And trail camera have no zoom, or any other standard/high tech thins you have on regular cameras you have to also think when sun light comes on that spot and from what direction. Of course you can't get rid of those all the time, but you can try to minimize ruining otherwise rare shots with those issues. Even you will have some of them anyway.

Here is couple pictures I think is ok, when you consider level of camera and how you have placed it to have those uncontrolled wild animals in front of camera.

Those mallards and chicks of them were "hanging out" with us hole summer and even taking bread from hand. But you have no control on them when you are not there, you can just think were you try to attach and leave camera.

Other wolf is bit out of focus (you get lot of them with moving animals) but still this is one of my favorites on. Reason for that is were are talking about wolfs and how you find where they move and what trails they use etc. all other things what comes with trying to get wolf on camera.

Small animals are what many of us consider nice or cute. For me this is also same place and try when I finally got that first lynx on camera after several misses, even that picture was not so great.

E4.JPG
This is to me one of best ones on technical level, even it just late enough to not be a color one.

On this one I like the placing of camera. You have try to guess from what direction animals are coming from, and what animals (height on camera placing, direction, angle) etc.

Had many martens on camera but this was the firs one I have where they are "standing up".

Beautiful Finnish wildlife. And the best pics are really good. :)

Thanks

Thats some cool pictures!
