Sorry to hear your Mom is not doing so well Melinda, thoughts are with you over this period.
Decorating is a thing of the past, I gave my tree and all decorations to a needing caring family who had never enjoyed Christmas with young ones in the home.
As a family of all adults we enjoy a lovely dinner together enjoying each others company.
Here is to wish you and yours a wonderful "wintermas" possibly all in white outdoors, while we enjoy the warmer weather in mid-summer @melinda010100

Thanks, Joan! There is talk of transferring my mom out of the hospital into a nursing care facility. She seems OK with the decision.
Good decision about decorating! I would be fine with that, but the kids and grandkids insist on decorating and as long as they do all the work I am good with that!
The 10 day forecast does not look hopeful for a white Christmas, but that will make travel so much easier for everyone if we don't have bad weather.
Best place for round the clock care, always sad to make the decision, unfortunately having a nurse in a private home with day/night shifts is no longer affordable.
It is good fun decorating when children are young, boys got older then stated the fuss was not necessary. Now I dress the table in African style outdoors for the dinner which still gives me a little to think about, using what is available in the garden.
Our forecast is thunder storms with rain for the next week, wishing you a terrific time with your family and friends if I don't get to chat again before Christmas.
Thanks, luv! Your holidays sound delightful. Enjoy every moment!
