Of course, I know that there are other farm animals than cows and sheep on the mountain pastures, but these horses have surprised me a bit, because I have seen some cows, which have been sleeping next to my path to the summit of the Dobratsch that morning, but I did not notice any horses. |

It was still quite early in the morning, when I went down from the Dobratsch again because of the fog and saw these horses beside the road. That's why a few of the horses looked still a bit sleepy. | Es war noch ziemlich früh am Morgen, als ich wegen des Nebels wieder vom Dobratsch hinunter ging und diese Pferde neben dem Weg gesehen habe. I know horses as well as I know the different kinds of dragonflies or trees. That's why I have no idea which horse breeds these beautiful animals are 😉 | Bei den Pferden kenne ich mich ähnlich gut aus, wie bei den Libellen oder Bäumen. Deshalb habe ich überhaupt keine Ahnung, um welche Pferderassen es sich bei diesen schönen Tieren handelt 😉 |

So I take it that they are wild and belong to no one there?
The farmers and breeders drive their animals to the alpine pastures, where they spend the summers, and can walk around freely. Of course, there are people who look after the animals and milking the cows, grooming and feeding the horses, and so on.Oh no, @old-guy-photos, there are no wild horses in Austria, not that I would know ;)
Ah ok. I thought maybe it was like the large wild herds we have out west in the US.
Oh no, we do not have so wide and big areas of land here, where the animals could live in peace. In Eastern Europe there are wild horses, as far as I know, and also in France, there are still wild horses, but I do not know any more about it.
Very nice set of photos! I think those horses must've not felt very social that day. Maybe that's why they turned their backs on you. Who knows? :-)

I think, either they were still too sleepy so early in the morning, and the girls had not done their hair yet, or they were bored of the portrait photos, that the hikers made of them every single day, and wanted to show me their beautiful backsides ;)
Thank you so much for your nice words and for the !tip @saboin 😉

🎁 Hi @saboin! You have received 0.1 STEEM tip from @johannpiber!I appreciate your resteem, dear @pixresteemer, thank you so much 😊
You are very welcome my friend!
😊
Horses are magnificent animals... I don't know much about them ...respect them from afar.
Yes, that's right: respect is, what they deserve, because they are majestic and beautiful, and respect is, what you should have, because you never know, how such a big animal might behave when it sees you for the first time.
Thank you for your comment, @manorvillemike 😊
I LOVE IT! Thank you so much! I have already put it up in my phone screen and will send you a photo shortly.
thank you so much that you like the photos 😊Have you? Really? That's so nice of you @vita-lina,
Great photo essay. I love photographic horses very much too. I find, however, they usually come toward me, affording me some wonderful horsey portraits.

Thank you so much for the resteem, @momzillanc 😊
It was very early in the morning, and I think, most have just got up from sleeping, otherwise they would have come towards me, I think, because they seemed to be used to see hikers.
Everybody makes portrait photos of horses, but nobody photographs their backsides ;)
Wild horses of the foggy mountain breed! Hahaha! Next thing you’ll see would probably be some small dragons!! Beware they breathe fire!!
Small dragons would be so cool. Do you know, where I can find such? We could safe so much money on heating our apartment, and I could spend this money to buy Steem ;)
Nice comment, dear @kaminchan, thank you very much, and have a good night 😊

I think this breed is equinnus Rudus Maximus
Quite a sultry breed easily identified by the fact there quite rude and turn their back to photographers 😂
How cool you came across these fine animals even if they wouldn’t pose nicely for photos
Thank you for your explanation and telling me the name of these horses. I have made a quick google search for "equinus rudus maximus", and what I have found was "Nothing". Well, not nothing, because Google asked me, if I mean "Rufus maximus" and this has nothing to do with horses.
Thanks for that, my friend - now I will have a good sleep ;) lol
These beautiful horses did pose for me, just a bit different, because they were bored of all the portrait photos ;)
Lol I am terrible for making up names for things
I hope you didn’t waste time searching it lol 😂
No, it was no wasted time - I have learned something new, what I didn't know before and what I will not know soon again 😉
Gidday mate I think I forgot to say that in my last reply
Any day we learn something new is a good day just make sure what you learn is not me telling you the name for something as I make up names lol 😂
Never mind 😉
Even if it's a false Name, I have learned something new, although it was so important, that I already have forgotten it ;)
I always google something, that I don't know, just to be sure, that I don't learn something wrong ;) lol
Forgotten what name???? LOL I know just kidding I do the same google anything I do not know or am unsure of
I even had to use google Maps this morning in Central Park, I went in at 84th Street planning to walk to a spot near 72nd street but then. Was in an area that I didn’t expect or not sure I have bene before and found I was up near 100th Street, seems I zigged when I should have Zagged

Schöne Pferde, und ganz friedlich;)
Ich glaube, die sind die Wanderer gewöhnt - sind ziemlich viele Menschen auf diesem Berg unterwegs, speziell an den Wochenenden.
Da bin ich mir auch sicher:)

Wow those are gorgeous horses sir johannpiber! Now if we could just find someone who can take pictures of something besides their rear! lol..They look super strong and muscular!
Maybe I should go back when they are fully awake, but they are really big and strong ... so much bigger than I am. I was glad somehow, that they ignored me ;)
Thank you, @janton, these horses are really beautiful - from the front as well as from the back 😊
I agree sir johannpiber, I thought they were so impressive. It's too bad you can't get a photo of one with you or someone standing beside one of them so we can see how big they are!
Unfortunately it has been too early in the morning, @janton, and there have been no other people around. I would say, the shoulder of the big brown, that looked back to me, one was about 6 feet high, maybe a bit more.
I thought they looked at least that big. Hey I looked up that Austrian actor that you sent his name the other day, Christoph something? Anyway, man, was he good in Django Unchained, did you see that one? He played a German bounty hunter.
😉
Christoph Waltz has been in other movies too, I think also in a James Bond movie, where he was a bad guy ;)
Yes, I have seen Django Unchained - it was a good movie, as far as I remember :)
Did I already give you your daily dose of virtual !BEER ?
He was so impressive in Django Unchained, what a unique character he played, it was an excellent acting job. I thought he was some German guy. Now I like him more that I know he is Austrian.
