Mountain Reflections / Bergspiegelungen (Laghi di Fusine)

This is the third lake I visited last weekend.

Das ist der dritte See, an dem ich letztes Wochenende war.

Laghi di Fusine

The two lakes in the area of the village Fusine are called Laghi di Fusine and are located at the foot of the Mangart mountain range. Because the mountains are beautifully reflected in the lakes, the lakes are also popular photo spots.

Die beiden Seen im Gebiet der Ortschaft Fusine heißen Laghi di Fusine (auf Deutsch auch Weißenfelser Seen) und liegen am Fuße der Mangart Bergkette. Weil sich die Berge wunderschön in den Seen spiegeln, sind die Seen auch beliebte Fotomotive.

The northern and lower lying of the two lakes (Lago di Fusine Inferiore / Lower Fusine Lake), was already ice-free and despite a slight wind, the reflection of the mountains has become relatively clear.

Der nördlicher und etwas tiefer gelegene der beiden Seen (Lago di Fusine Inferiore / Unterer Fusine See) war bereits eisfrei und trotz einem leichten Wind ist die Spiegelung der Berge relativ klar geworden.

The Fusine Lakes are very popular for family trips, and on nice days and weekends the parking lots are full. In addition to other hikes, you can also hike on easy paths around both lakes here. The second lake, which is slightly above (south) of this lake, should soon be free of ice. Then I want to go back there and shoot some photos there too.

Die Fusine Seen sind sehr beliebt für Familienausflüge und an schönen Tagen und an Wochenenden sind die Parkplätze voll. Neben anderen Wanderungen kann man hier auch über einfache Wege rund um beide Seen wandern. Der zweite See, der etwas oberhalb (südlich) dieses Sees liegt, sollte bald auch eisfrei sein. Dann möchte ich wieder dorthin und auch dort ein paar Fotos schießen.

I really understand people who aspire to these beautiful places. It’s hard to imagine how clean the air is, after the urban, stone jungle, it’s like a breath of fresh water. As Vladimir Vysotsky, the bard of the times of the Soviet Union, said in his song - Only mountains that have not yet visited can be better than mountains. Thank you, Dear friend @Johannpiber! The pictures are great, both in color and in black and white.

Oh, thank you @janton, it was a long time exposure - 8 seconds. This is why the water seems so calm. Actually it was a bit windy and cold that morning.

No, I use a tripod - if I could hold the camera still for more than one second I would be a tripod ;)

WOW! The reflection of the mountains is really magnificent. It's amazing that the lake acts as wonderful mirror....
