RE: Macro: White-legged Damselfly / Blaue Federlibelle

in #photography • 5 years ago

Thanks a lot, my friend 😊

Wikipedia does not know everything, so I have several other websites to determine the name of an insect or a flower :) But despite these possibilities, it is often not easy to find the right name of an insect, especially the damselflies all look somehow the same.
I have found a very good photo of this damselfly, which told me, that it's a male. A few days before this photo I have posted the female of this damselfly (https://steemit.com/photography/@johannpiber/female-white-legged-damselfly-weibliche-blaue-federlibelle). That this one was a female was very hard to find ;)

Howdy again sir johannpiber! well that is very interesting and the amount of work and research is impressive. I would just say "here's an interesting bug," if it was me taking the photos. lol.

Good evening, ajanton 😊

Of course, I could name the photo just "Damselfly", but I want to know the name of an insect myself, and if I am able to find it, then everybody should know, what I know :)
I am sure, there are some people, who are interested in the names too ;)

I'm sure most people are sir johannpiber because we have some of the most knowledge thirsty people in the world on this platform!

That's what I do hope too, @janton, because sometimes searching for the name of an insect can be very hard work ;)
