Every year, me and my family go to a small hut in the mountains. The hut is nestled in the Sierra Buttes. The Sierra Buttes are a beautiful set of mountains within the Sierra Mountain Range.
This is the first time I put my drone up. This is on the way up to the cabin.
There is a huge dam, I’m not sure what the lake’s name is, but I love how it looks like the Caribbean and I’m in a freaking mountain range.
It is a 4 hour drive from Sacramento. The road up to the hut follows a stream with the clearest water that is amazingly cold and crisp because it is fed with melting snow.
The views from 8,000 feet are breathtaking, it feels as if you can see forever. These images from thousands of feet above where I stand make me realize how much I love nature and how much I hate the city. Cities feel so crowded, it feels like it wants to squash me. But in nature, I feel free, as I can breath again.
This picture is a closer up of the top of the Buttes. You can see the observation tower at the top of the mountain. It sits at around 8500 feet above sea level.
Over the lake before the Sunrise.
The sun rising.
All pictures shot on my Phantom 4 drone. Video will be posted within 3 days. The videos and views are breathtaking. Stay tuned for Steemit-Exclusive drone content.
