Wow fantastic. You just brought all of us along with you to share in the experience.
The shower stall... something just doesn't seem right with it. :) I know you're rinsing the salt off... but gee, I feel like I'd come out dirtier than when I went in???
It was a really incredible place... one of those spots where the photos just don't do it justice.
As for the shower stall... well, it was definitely a first for me! Pipe straight out of the wall and that's it. The rainwater was great but lets just say the spa type ambience wasn't quite there :)
Just checked out your hats, those are amazing! I've got to show them to some people here, maybe they can make their way to Canada. So glad you liked the photos, it was a really great time there :)
Thanks so much for commenting. It was an incredible adventure and I feel so fortunate to have shared it with my daughter! Just followed you, wishing you all the best here :)
hey ive just followed you too :)))great photos i did the same thing as you did but on the Fijian islands, ..... personally i found the Fijian island nice again many island withput power or it got switched off at 10pm sadly i did find Fiji away over priced very expensive considering but did enjoy the experience, next time ill do i little more research before i cast off .....your fale looks cosy :)))))))
So cool, thanks followed you too! We looked at Fiji but it was super expensive. Tonga was priced right and was really nice. The people on the main island were pretty funny, a lot of them were like ummmm why did you come to Tonga? They seemed surprised that people would vacation there. Don't think they've got the tourist part down yet and that's probably why it was a good deal. Definitely a good last minute holiday choice.
Yes great point they dont exploit the tourist like they do on Fiji its was pretty bad, still i shant complain but if you rip off the tourist they simply wont come back......i should of done Tonga ill know better next time, looks really nice there :))))) cheers ..
@judym well you have just sent me on my first visit to Tonga without even leaving my seat!! Well written and the photos are fantastic. Looks like bliss AND you got to hang out with 2 adorable dogs and eat fresh coconut! What great memories you made with your daughter, you'll have those forever. Thanks so much for sharing your trip
Thank you so much! It was really amazing, glad you saw the post. It's so close for you to go from NZ, when time allows give it a go. The coconut was delicious and pineapple was in season. They were incredible! Hope you're having a beautiful weekend! :)
@judym it has been the most awesome day here, my fav time of year. I would visit Tonga in a heartbeat BUT I have an insane fear of flying (although I have done a lot) I am truly an Earth / water person haha feet firmly on the ground or in the water. I am putting up a post soon and some of the pics will be from today (if they come out alright) you have a great day or is it night?
Look forward to seeing your post! It's 9:00 pm here and broad daylight. So glad you had an awesome day. We are the flip to you so will be coming up to the longest day of the in a couple of weeks. I'm really enjoying the long days :)
Thank you so much, so glad you liked them! I'm really fortunate to have been able to do the amount of exploring that we did last year, really beautiful places!! Hope you get to visit there soon and check them out :)
