The Marina Bay Sands is really a special piece of architectural wonder. It is constructed in such a unique way that it looks like a ship perched atop three high-rise buildings, and is definitely one of the must see attractions in Singapore. We were really looking forward to see the interesting and exquisite structure, and this building was one of the first tourist attractions we visited upon landing in Singapore.
Unfortunately, when we arrived to visit the place it was raining heavily, and we were not sure if we would be allowed into the Sky park - the observation part of the building.
We waited for almost an hour hoping the rains would stop, and luckily they did. The scenic views from atop were spectacular, and not only could we see the city skyline, we got to see many other attractions from up above, which we had planned to cover in the coming days, like the Gardens by the bay and the Singapore flyer.
We spent quite some time roaming around the deck, and one of the best moments was when we got to witness a truly beautiful sunset, wherein the sky changed into various shades before finally turning dark. It was definitely one of the prettiest sunsets I've ever encountered.
The view of the towers at night was also quite spectacular, once the lights were turned on.
It was a great visit and it was nice to witness the architectural marvel in person.
Having been opened only in 2010, the hotel has quickly and deservedly become one of the famous landmarks across the world, housing most notably the casino and the infinity pool!

This is pretty special as it gives you the views over the entire area. Looks like it cleared up to give you a spectacular sunset. Thanks for sharing these great photos.
yes thanks, it was definitely a must-see attraction and glad we were able to see the entire thing
Wow! What amazing views! Glad it cleared up for you :) also, that sunset is stunning! How beautiful:) the gardens are amazing, i would love to see those trees! 😀🌅
thank you, you should visit at-least once :) i wish i had more time to explore.
Awesome photographs. Very beautiful place indeed!!
thanks a lot ma'am :)
With ship that high up they are prepared for very unrealistic sea level rise :oP
Assuming correctness of prophecies of Nostradamus, he predicts "only" 5 meter rise, and not due to global warming but because of asteroid impact :o)
haha, i don't think it's a working ship, it will sink like a stone :D
interesting, hopefully it's after we are long gone ;)
Well, the prophecies are subject of interpretations. However I've recently read pretty comprehensive and well reasoned interpretation of some parts on World War 3. According to the sketched timeline by the time I turn 80 there will be two major cosmic catastrophes (the second one will be particularly spectacular and terrifying - now I really wish to see it but I'm going to curse myself for this wish if I actually live that long) with global religious war overlapping and in-between local conflicts for dwindling resources - "never before (nor after) this period humanity experienced such atrocities". The age of tyrants. Starvation, plagues, nuclear fallout, climate change and most of all mass slaughters will leave 6 billion dead. There are plenty of details to look for in coming years that might hint if prophecy is starting to fulfill, but if it does we are basically screwed. On the bright side there is no need to worry, because worrying is unproductive when there is no way to prepare for what's coming - the WW3 alone is to last 27 years with many places experiencing horrors much longer and everyone is going to be affected... and if we survive through this a hundred years of peace follows ;o)
wow, i think rather than world war 3 with so many causalities, it's better some aliens invade us and give us some advanced tech to avoid all this and help us live in peace :P
The aliens are there in the prophecies but much further in the future :o)
