Wild boars are frequent visitors to our garden, because there is no fence on the back of the area. Sometimes they dig the garden, grub the crop. A couple of days ago I found some can remains in the backyard, messed around. For the first time I thought a human threw it into the bush. Then the mystery was solved.
Couple of years ago, my love, Tamas buried some canned maize, because he was curious about the durability. But the boars found the food with their good smell and opened all the cans, ate all the corn.
You may be surprised, but best defense against boars is human urine. If they feel the smell, they will not go there anymore.
