Dear Friends,
Last week I was very lucky to be invited by my friend who had an extra VIP pass for joining her group at the Grand Place. It was a special day for me to have the opportunity to pay respect at the ceremony for our late King Rama 9th. I was speechless and overwhelmed inside the big Hall.
The quickest way to get there was by 'water-bus' or the local boats along the Chao Phraya River. Rapid changes are taking place along the prime land by the River, many new hotels and condominiums. It's a well known fact that Bangkok is sinking (not as fast as Venice though). The atmosphere on that day was very gloomy and melancholy. I found it difficult to move about in formal long black outfit. Photography was forbidden inside the palace, so no pics!

(The water-bus by the black rice-barges; notice that they are empty as they are floating high above the water.)
(More boats)
(Boat-taxi for hire by tourists)
(This is the small boat that pulls along all the rice-barges.)

Hope you'll have a good evening.
Thank you for all your support, highly appreciated always. Cheers.

Hi @athavan. Thank you very much. When fellow photography enthusiasts who are much better than me (a complete beginner) show me support, I am over the moon! This makes my day and a good evening too. BTW, your lilies are very nice. Must run now!
