One thing you guys will have to admit, I pretty good at giving you plenty of pixels per post - and plenty of material for that little mouse-click thing you do... You know, when you're pretending to vote, and pretending it means anything. Go ahead... crank it up to 100% and flex that mouse finger, I dare you!
Or don't. Whatever. Here are four new photos that I'm pretty proud of. Until they turn the lights out, I'm still showing you my best stuff.
Mushrooms and moss. The big mushroom is a half-inch tall, and the little one is about the size of the head of a pin.
A Harbour Seal at the Oakbay Marina. They don't seem to care as much about humans as they did before. Probably something to do with the marina banning feeding the seals.
Holly Berries. These things are very poisonous - do not eat!
Just a regular squirrel. A brown squirrel I suppose, but I'm no expert ;) Thanks for taking a look. Click to view full-screen.
Don't forget to ~~ U P V O T E ! ~~
Thank you @pixresteemer!
I have this thing about mushrooms and fungi in general. They make my imagination run wild, sprouting up on the forest floor on a nice bed of moss. What is not to love? Pull that macro out and give me the up close and personal view and I'm awed.
Part of it is because I never see mushrooms around here and the other is that you just took a kick-ass awesome shot of them. Such a sharp detailed set of shrooms and that soft, mossy green background.
The seal is just adorable and I love how I can feel that water washing over him as I look longingly at those poisonous berries.
Hey!! I am hungry!!
You and squirrels. :) Cute as the dickens.
Killer shots and yes. I am still here and have no intention of leaving.

Thanks a lot, Denise! I finally found a lens I like for macro and I'm getting better shots than before. So much fun! Thank you for the share & Tip, you're the best :)
That macro is killer. What lens have you found?
Thank you! A very bizarre lens combo. A Nikon 105mm f/2.8 macro lens, which will not even reach focus on the Oly EM5 somehow comes alive when a 20mm Kenko macro extension tube is added. It focuses at about 28 inches and has roughly an inch DOF at f/2.8. So... a little wildflower one inch across will be in focus front to back without stopping down.
Pfft Im still here as long as they leave the lights on as well. Even if the fat lady is warming up in the background, she hasn't sung yet LOL
I'm glad to hear it. I think it's time to buy steem actually.
I have thought about it myself.
I'm buying every day at $0.30 that's a steal. Get it while you can folks?

This is a wonderful set of photos! I am especially charmed by the mushrooms & moss in that first shot! That is like a superb peek into a separate little world, all to itself! Marvelous! 💛
Thank you very much! That's exactly how I think of macro shots - a peek into a tiny world :)
Great photos, all of them.
How did you convince the squirrel to pose for you?
Ps: who is everyone? 😀

Thank you! Those squirrels are quick! I stood pretty far away and used a long zoom lens :)

Thank you @good-karma, esteem is one of the main reasons I am still here.
Beautiful pictures. I'd like to know a bit more about where they were taken
Thank you very much. All of these photos were taken close to my home in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. That's the Pacific Ocean the little harbour seal is swimming in. The squirrel was captured in a beautiful park we have here - filled with tall trees such as Giant Sequoia. I appreciate you visiting my post!
the seal's photograph is masterful and wins top spot for me! Thank you for the eye candy ! :-)
I'm so happy you liked it :)
I’m still here. Keith with confidence what goes down must come up. Great photos as always. Love the seal and the squirrel. I think the squirrel is a gray...they sometimes have a brownish tinge to their fur. U & R.
Thanks so much. I guess you can see how much I know about squirrels :) I'm glad you're still here!

I like those Holly Berries. Even though they are poisoneous, they are tempting to eat.
Yeah, I really wouldn't do that ;)
You got 25% each from me!
Nice! Thank you, my friend! Hope you're enjoying the weekend.
Of course!
All That Glitters...@dswigle wrote lately about: Feel free to follow @dswigle if you like it :)
Sending tips with @tipU - how to guide :)
🎁 Hi @keithboone! You have received 0.1 STEEM tip from @dswigle!Love the title. I’ve been feeling that way myself lately. I like the pictures too, especially the first and third ones.
Thanks very much I appreciate it :)
That moss shot is really cool. I spent a lot of time looking at moss in the woods with my scouts today. If I'd seen this before hand I would have shown them.
Thank you! Moss is fun to photograph up-close. So are lichens. It's an amazing miniature world!
Very nice photos. You have every reason to be proud of them.
Here's an upvote from me. Unfortunately, it is not much, but it's 100%.! :-)
Very kind, thank you :)
Great title Keith and that seal photo got my 100% upvote all on it's own. lol
They can turn the lights off but they will never take our freedom...to post! :-)
Chin up fella. You are not alone.
That was great, you made me smile :) Thank you!
Glad to be of service :-) I'm rather busy IRL but will be posting again when I get some things sorted out.
All will be revealed lol
Well that sounds interesting :)
sir keith! What does the title mean, "everyone is gone"? You mean on steemit or is that a dumb question?
Yeah, that's what I meant, just a sarcastic statement. I'm glad not everyone is gone!
oh ok, lol... well in some ways it may be good as far as less competition for contests and things like that if people are giving awards out. The group who are still here are a very tough, resilient bunch. We might be crazy too! time will tell.
Beautiful!
Thanks a lot, happy you liked this :)
