Photography has taken me everywhere from the mountains, the ocean, and even the air. Before planes and drones, we were forced to use our imagination about what our world looked like from above, and I’ve loved being able to share this perspective with people. Maelifell Volcano in the Icelandic Highlands was one of these places I wanted to share with people for years because very rarely does it share its true color. I finally got the chance to see it without it’s winter coat.
