Meeting and welcoming my Dutch Family & How I missed Ghana’s First MeetUp.

in #photography7 years ago (edited)

Today mark the day Ghana had their first ever #steemit meetup on the 6th of January 2018 in Sunyani. It was very sad I couldn’t make it due to financial reasons which made me very sad and worried so I decided to take a trip to Tema and welcome my Dutch family who flew in recently.

In case you don’t know much about Ghana I will take you on a tour to Tema beginning from eastern region where I stay at, with awesome road pictures and buildings, I will also show you how the steemit meetup went with lovely pictures taking by @teamghana

Ok let’s start with a visit to my Dutch family visiting Tema for their holidays. Let me tell you a little history about tema before we carry on-

It is located 25 kilometres (16 mi) east of the capital city; Accra, in the region of Greater Accra, and is the capital of the Tema Metropolitan District. ... Tema was commissioned by Ghana's first president, Kwame Nkrumah, and grew rapidly after the construction of a large harbour in 1961.

Ghana’s First Ever Steemit MeetUp In Sunyani

I couldn’t make it to the meet up but I could feel the excitement and the joy that occurred over there. I had to sacrifice to get a new laptop to steem since my old laptop got damaged, and with me being on steemit now each and every day without steemit is like me not being able to breath. I did this sacrifice because I want to be on steemit 24 hours a day blogging and helping minnows and improving myself.
Big thanks to our Nigerian family for the great love and passion they showed @teamghana especially @ejemai one of the biggest African ambassador on steemit.
I am yet to hear from my Ghana steemian family but with the smiles from the pictures that alone says it all…. @anaman @mcsamm @ehmkannde @jakemore @lovelace @deppynep etc

These are some of the lovely pictures they took

@teamghana and @ejemai and his group, we are very grateful and we want to say a big thank you. You are a Legend @ejemai
