Every now and then, I have a Steemit post that I have to muster the energy to make and this is one of them. Busy day with @guthrie, but a lot of fun. I took him to go see Ferdinand, then had lunch. He visited his brothers for a while and I took two meetings at @caffetto. Somewhere along the way, a headache moved in and I’m currently looking at a screen in the dark, with minimal brightness. Normally, I’d just let it go but I’m really excited to share this photo, so I’m pushing through.
This new edit is a first look at a shoot I previously did with Inkmaster winner and host of Inkmaster Angels, @ryanashley […yes, I did get her to register for Steemit, she just hasn’t made her introduction post yet]. This was from July, shot in Northeastern, PA, where we both grew up. We’ve shot together so many times and the bar is always raised. Location is always a challenge, but she had a friend with a rectory that has seen been converted in to a giant, eclectic living space. That would serve as the backdrop for this shoot.
The space was dark, with occasion window light leaking in, cutting out the shadows. Sometimes across the bed, or against mirrors. I love the unpredictability of shooting in places like this, with no control over the light sources or surroundings. @vermillionfox live streamed the entire shoot, hosted here on Steemit and the link is still available. If you’d like to see each photo as they happened, definitely take time to watch this.
The photo seen in this post was taken when I laid @ryanashley down on a vintage couch and covered her with a massive pile of pale, unbleached silk flowers. As I was placing them over her, all of us […including me], thought this was a ridiculous idea. She even laughed. But, with the very first photo I thought “…damn, this is actually cool!”. It was! One of my favorite photos of the entire shoot.

Its amazing! I really spent time to watch the video from start to finish. I couldn't imagine that the image was took at the couch and the flowers you just grab it from the huge flower vase on the floor. I lost count how many clicks on camera was that but I guess this one came out perfectly. Good job @kommienezuspadt.

That last photo is amazing, wow she’s literally swimming in flowers! Can’t wait to see photos from the upcoming shoot!
If I were to repaint the pose/lighting, I picture her in a slow running brook that has flowers scattered over top the water. Her face and hands up out of the water and her hair flowing far back in the stream behind her.

OMGEEE! I freakin' LOVE the second one. I know you said you were all like .. "hmmm... dunno bout this.." I think it is awesome. It plays on depth and illusion. The color is incredible and the angle! STUNNING.
