Vintage style w/ Rachel Fox!

Good eve, friends! I’m getting this post in right under the wire. I’ve been in a perpetual state of winding down since about 11:00p.m. A busy weekend is over, I’m still attempting to keep up with a work, family, art, Magic, Steemit and exercise routine. Today, specifically, I managed to fit all of that in. I live for these days. Productivity is one of the most rewarding feelings in my life.

Briefly, I do want to say “thank you” to everyone that’s entered this week’s “Sequential Art” theme for Trial by Comics. This has easily been my favorite theme in the existence of the contest. Sequential art was something I’d put off for a long time because I thought it would be too challenging for most of the community. As it turns out, you all rose to the occasion showcasing some of the best comic work I’ve seen since joining Steemit almost two years ago. Big post coming tomorrow with the winners and the next theme. In the meantime, join our Trial by Comics Discord channel and join the art cult it’s become!

Tonight’s photography is of my long time friend, Rachel Fox. I’ve been shooting with Rachel for over 10 years. Granted, there was a six year hiatus between our last shoot and this most recent shoot. She’s from my hometown of Scranton, PA and we’ve been collaborating from some of my earliest days as a photographer. We’ve grown together as artists, friends and now, parents. She recently decided to model again and contacted me about booking a shoot just before the New Year during my last tour throughout the east coast.

We were given permission to shoot in my friends’ @ryan and @joshbalz’s oddity parlor, The Strange and Unusual. Always a unique backdrop with no shortage of vintage furniture, mirrors and taxidermy. I was gracious loaned a beautiful collection of What Katie Did lingerie by my friend Edie. All these elements made for an extremely memorable shoot; our best to date, which was important because these photos did make the pages of Dark Pinup, my photography book with @wcpublishing.

Thanks for reading. For more photography, art, illustration and the stories behind the work, follow me here @kommienezuspadt

Very professional work and background is quite amazing.

Thanks @markzuckerbergs! I appreciate you taking the time to comment on my work with all the trouble your company is in right now.

photo editing, model management and color tones are great, my dear friend. You are a really successful photographer. I always love compositions made with mirrors. nice model and congratulations!
have a nice day

Thank you very much @artizm! I appreciate that :)

Very sexy shots.

I know what you mean about juggling all those elements and can definitely relate. It feels great to be keeping busy and productive though so worth it. Love the shots too man!! She's a stunning model. Your friends location looks great too. I'd say you could shoot there a dozen times over and get a different look every time.

Yeah, @davekavanagh. Few things in life make me as happy as productivity. I love my dad to a drunk driver. He was only 44. I think it impacted me to do as much as I can as often as I can. I want to have something to leave behind, even if it's just a body of strong work while I was here. That's what the Dark Pinup book was about. Thanks for the kind words, man. Always means a lot.

Oh man sorry to hear that about your Dad. Something like that is bound to shape your outlook on things. It says a lot that you could take something as horrible as that and turn it into a driver to keep you productive, active and positive. There's also no doubt whatsoever that you've already created an incredibly high quality and very genuinely inspiring body of work already 😉

I really like this series. The setting is awesome, all these little details placed in the room. The model is almost becoming part of the interior, instead of being in the focus, which makes it even more interesting.

Thank you @patschwork. I can't take credit for the room. My friends @ryan and @joshbalz have an incredible oddities parlor. I can see what you mean, though. She's less of a subject and more of the interior. A pretty wallflower :P

wow sir, you're amazing photographer! super nice.. :) i am excited to see your next post .. i am here waiting .. :) godbless sir..

sincerely yours : fans :)

Awwww! Thanks @anarosenav827! You're too kind.

Awesome shots, I love the tones in this series!

Thank you very much @vtravels! I just scrolled through your feed and read your "three months on Steemit" post. Are you still enjoying it? Beautiful work, BTW.

Thank you ! Yes I am, I think its kind of made me realise how much I still love photography, doing it for weddings for nearly 8 years I had lost the enthusiasm but now its come back, so I am glad about that!

Everything in your photos is perfect!! So stunning!!!

Thank you @livvu! That means a lot. I appreciate it.

I love the warm color pallet you use in your photography.
And the girl in the shoot is so seductive.
Great clicks.

She's great @mehakmittal13! I've been shooting with her for a long time. She's such a great collaborative partner.

Greetings friend, it's a pity that I could not participate in this contest, but for the next one if I draw ... you have good participants, I think it will be very difficult to choose a winner ... your friend Fox is beautiful and the landscape is magnificent, loved the photos ;-)

Yeah! I'd love for your to participate in #trialbycomics! Thank you @quamce!

It feels so nice when you accomplish so much in a day! Even nicer is when I go to your page and discover you’ve posted something new! Her poses and that lucious velvet furniture and warm light!
Just melted a lil.......

Oh! @artedellavita! You're always so sweet. Thank you. I'm not surprised you love the furniture, and lingerie I'm sure :P

Always the best, you have a great eye for the objects, poses, lighting everything!

It is good to be able to do so many things on the same day, unfortunately I can not because I never have time. :(

Your friend is very nice and having a friendship of so much time should be more rewarding to work together.

Oh, believe me @yanes94, there isn't time here, either. The cost for all this is only sleeping a few hours a night. I'm obsessively fixated on being productive and spending time with my family, so sleep is usually the thing that suffers.

I understand you very well, but we should also take care of ourselves and rest well in order to have more time with the family and not worry the relatives if we get sick because we do not rest well.

It is my humble advice ;)
