One year of photos 1/365 - In a Field of Clovers - Original Content

in #photography7 years ago

Well its happening! Day one of a feature photo every day for 365 days. I love Steemit and want to continue to find new ways to contribute so I am going to post a photo a day with a little description and also how I shot it. I will share all my favourites both new and old and I hope you join in for the journey and please comment and tell me what ones you really like!

This is a shot that was taken the other day outdoors right before sunset. It is summer here in Edmonton and we have fields of clovers, the smell is so beautifully overwhelming. Being a northern city in Canada it gets really cold here so taking advantage of every nice day is a must.

For this photo I put her in the shade, if you ever take a photo and do this in natural light it allows you to not have to worry about hard shadows. It was an amazing sunset that night too thought but I am saving those photos for later! Mwhaha!

This photo was taken with a Canon 6D camera and a Sigma 50mm 1.4f lens set at 2.8f . Only natural light was used, I may have used my reflector but I forgot it. I edited this image in Lightroom 5

Well that starts this journey! I hope you like it and want to follow along :) Please comment and let me know if you like what you see, and thank you for reading my post! Until tomorrow fellow Steemians!

thank you for the kind words, I'm still finding my way here, I was used to instagram and yes, more to come!

“And you, Ring-bearer,’ she said, turning to Frodo. ‘I come to you last who are not last in my thoughts. For you I have prepared this.’ She held up a small crystal phial: it glittered as she moved it, and rays of white light sprang from her hand. ‘In this phial,’ she said, ‘is caught the light of Eärendil’s star, set amid the waters of my fountain. It will shine still brighter when night is about you. May it be a light to you in dark places, when all other lights go out..."

This is a really stunning photo, I cannot wait to see more. Keep it up!
