I've already shared some of my images from last weekend's Chalk It Up festival, and now we get to some of my personal favorites.

This octopus crashing up through the sidewalk really looked almost three-dimensional!

And speaking of sea creatures, this sea turtle looked almost like it was coming off the page as well!

This warrior crab looked fierce and mighty, despite his size! And how about that red beard? Seriously, I think someone could develop a children's book about this guy.

Not all creatures were strictly from the sea. Check out the scales on this swampy fella!

One of my favorite land animals is the tiger, and I especially like white tigers. So this one made me smile.

And because it IS the Year of the Dragon, this one was exceptionally well done!

This troll was an intriguing piece that utilized a fascinating color palette.

And speaking of funky colors, this floral image drew my eye!

But then again, I still tend to prefer more natural richness of color, like this pattern of succulents.

One theme that I saw a few times was Taylor Swift. I admit, I'm not a particular fan of hers, but I WAS impressed with this realistic image of the famous "heart hands," with Taylor's name spelled out in the bracelets.

Bringing out more color is this awesome redhead with flowers in her hair!

And I loved the astronaut exploring outer space.

But my two favorite ones were these beautiful images, both gorgeously colored and detailed. I can't quite pick which one is the best -- what do you think?

Yay more of the chalk art. I really like the turtle one and how it really looks like it is coming out of the water or out of the ground. Super cool. More awesome art

Yeah, I really do like that one! You can see why it was one of my very favorites. Looking forward to the next chalk festival, in August.
