Every year, I get to take photos for this amazing family. I have known them since before the couple got married, and even did bridal photos for them to celebrate their wedding.
I was one of the first to know about them getting pregnant with their oldest child, and I have done maternity shoots with them and then family shoots, always with fun themes! In the past, we have done such things as "Up," "The Princess Bride," and "The Addams Family."
This year, the theme was "Star Trek: The Next Generation."
Mom and Dad were William Riker and Deanna Troi, and the kids were, from oldest to youngest, Data, Beverley Crusher, and little Wesley Crusher.
We caught some truly fun and wonderful moments! Mom got the baby giggling as much as possible by bouncing and laughing with him.
Mother and daughter loved their hugs!
But I just about died when this sweet little girl, while being face-to-face with her mother, reached up and stroked Mom's cheek so tenderly.
And it was just as cute when she reached out to hug her baby brother!
Dad took it upon himself to teach his boys how to properly use their phasers.
And while he was doing some one-on-one instruction for his eldest, the little one toddled over to mom and offered his phaser to her.
Now, if you're going to be fighting dangerous aliens on foreign planets, if you're going to boldly go where no one has gone before, you need to make sure you check in with your doctor.
This concerned little girl absolutely had to check daddy's vitals to make sure he was okay. But then of course, she gets hugs afterwards!
I guess she found nothing wrong! Three cheers for a healthy daddy!
Can't wait to see what we get to do for next year's family photos!
