In Which We Go Down Memory Lane (Part I)

A couple of months ago, I was looking through my old hard drive and found a bunch of my early photo sessions. This sent me down quite the walk down Memory Lane.

It can be interesting looking back. I sometimes find forgotten gems, but it's also fun to see where I've come as a photographer. So I thought I'd share some of my earliest work, just for kicks.

This was my first-ever paid engagement shoot, a sweet couple that got engaged in autumn and wanted to go up into the mountains to do their shoot. We got some sweet moments and smiles.

My first photography job, the thing that got me started on photography as a profession, was working at a child photography studio. So every now and then, a friend would ask me to take photos of their little ones. This shoot was sweet, and I especially loved the moment when we had Mommy lift up her baby girl into the air, a moment that got her truly giggling.

And this cute little fella was the first son of a long-time friend. It's amazing to me that he's a teenager now!

I have said it from the very beginning of my photography career -- I LOVE working with dancers! These ballerinas braved the freezing cold to do this winter snow session in tutus.

And this sweet young woman, the sister of one of my best friends, allowed me to practice with a brand new camera by doing this classic session at the State Capitol building.

I have a few more to share, but we'll wait for another day!
