Today I was part of a protest requesting for a non profit hospital to keep serving the people in its local community. It’s sad when a hospital who’s mission statement is to serve the poorest people starts looking and caring only about their bottom line.
I get that every hospital, even the “non- profit” ones need to produce a profit or break even to keep running. However, the issues in my opinion have to do with poor management.
It looks like it’s also a part of gentrification of the Dc area. That’s a whole other topic. I guess time shall tell how things go.
Its a shame that non-profit organizations tend to do worse in managerial issues as politicians. I hope the protest yields good fruits.
They sent out a letter saying they will still go ahead with their plan. They are turning into more of an urgent care facility. They want to get rid of inpatient services which will get rid of most nurses- 90-98%. They will also get rid of other services according to their needs. It’s just crazy but it’s what it is.
That is so gross and so uncalled for. The fact it they are digging the collapse of the facility and its services gradually.
Hello honey, that good protest you joined, I think it's excellent ... The history of my country at this time is very sad, many people die every day due to lack of medicines and supplies ... both private as public ... and yet nobody comes out to protest or say anything against the government out of fear, in a few words they are leading us to a dictatorship
That’s sad and crazy. In our case it’s greedy CEOs
Yes, well, I hope we can solve all these problems and improve society
Wow, I hope that situation improves.
It probably won’t go as we hope. At least according to them.
Don't worry, I believe the protest will yeild a positive outcome. The will first appear hard to crack so as to break the protesters resolves. But you people have to stay strong and keep stating your objections....
The problems of bad management always end with everything, I hope they achieve their purpose

Yes, it is truly sad that when an organization offers you a lot, it decays from one day to the next as if no one would care
