I'm guessing that the farmers house was just to the left. You can see a better view of it here, it looks like his kids were out playing the yard. I don't really know if this is his house though. So many farms around here are owned by big agricultural companies and it is very difficult for smaller farmers to compete with them, but there are still some smaller farms around.
