This section of the coastera is host to a sort of cultural gallery, put on by the government. The outside always has some sort of photo display, and today while I was downtown I took pictures of the current gallery. Acapulco is somewhat known for the famous cliff divers that have been here for a long time, and these pictures are a tribute to that history.

wasn't familiar with the cliff diving history, cool! is there still lots of jumping that goes on?
Yup, although I haven't yet been and am not sure where specifically to go haha
Isn't the Quebrada just round the back of the Mirador?
......I dunno.
These are fantastic shots. A lot of photos covering years of cliff diving and the people who were important. Great. Is this a 'walk of fame' type of boulevard?
It would seem that way, yes. I didn't recognize the names but its that type of boardwalk just in front of a sort of government cultural center
It's good when people are recognized for their achievements and names layed in stone to be remembered. It recognizes the past to encourage people today to achieve into the future,.
I'm always amazed by those adrenaline junkies that are jumping of those high cliffs. Too scary for me! Have you ever done it?
I used to jump off a light house with my friends...sort of like a cliff...haha
Very brave!
I know Acapulco has a long history with celebs but I wasn't expecting Shirley Jones, Milton Berle & La Lollo!
I was googling Milton Berle's Acapulco connection and stumbled across Elvis cliff diving instead:
Never seen photo gallery dedicated to topic like this, nice photos :)

viva Alcapulco!
