Good morning, Steemians!
I wanted to share with you some pictures of a recent hike I took. The course is only about 1.5 miles, but it's got many side trails and a nice view at the top! The trail is called Fifty Foot Cliff. I used to hike here as a kid with my parents, but it's been probably 10 years since my last trip. It was time to come again and revisit the landscape!
It's a bit tricky to find the place, but everything is well-marked. The hike itself is peaceful and quiet! I wasn't able to spot much wildlife, but the scenery was superb. Some nice treescapes and stonescapes, path views, stone structures, a bridge going over a small stream. You can get lost in the environment very easily.
One common thing around these parts is to make stone sculptures - see how you can stack rocks into odd situations and towers. I love the idea myself!
The hike itself is moderate - you do have to climb over some rocks and rough terrain, but nothing too hard!
The Peak
The peak and the view is just incredible. Pictures don't do it justice! Up above the treetops, it's about 100 feet high. The sight you can see stretches out for miles.
Always be open for new things; new discoveries are always out there to be had.
Enjoy your time and make the most out of it!
