It's good to buy a DSLR camera and learn how to use it, but there are still some people who find it difficult to understand. Don't be discouraged—here, we introduce 5 simple ways to take beautiful pictures, based on the basic aesthetic behind great photos. The more you understand the better, of course you're free to experiment and deviate from this method, but, if you're just getting started, then these suggestions are a surefire way to get great looking photos.
1. Place the Subject Shot in the Center!
Photos express special, defining moments, as well as your own thoughts. That's why it's important to place what you want people to see right in the center of the photo. I often find photos with the main subject placed on the side, which is a shame.
2. Adjust Focus On The Whole Image To Get A Great Shot!
I've often come across photos with backgrounds that are too blurry, but such photos can be very misleading, and it looks as if the photographer is trying to cover up the flaws in the photo.
What is generally considered a good photo, always looks sharp and all the corners are in focus. This was thought to be true in the past, and is still so today.
3. However, always pay close attention to the vertical and horizontal axes in your photos
Think about what we encounter in our daily lives. We live in a world, where the horizontal and vertical axes are generally balanced, right?
Photographs showing tilted land and buildings, have the potential to give the impression of instability in the human brain, and therefore, the intent of the photo is not conveyed properly. However, most of the plain-looking photos don't have a good balance of vertical and horizontal axes.
4. In general, the resulting photo should look bright
Dark photos do not appeal to the viewer. Therefore, in general, your photos should be taken in a bright light. This is a shortcut for improvement in photography.
Typically, positive exposure compensation is used whereas negative compensation is almost never used.
5. Reproducing True Colors, Far More Important Than Anything Else
The White Balance setting is used to change the colors in photos, but sometimes, there are some people who experiment with this function. This results in the colors in the captured photo looking completely different from the original, which is a shame.
If possible, white balance should be set manually in place, so that the actual colors of the scene can be reproduced to their true colors.
However, this may be difficult for beginners. In this case, they could use the camera's Auto White Balance function.
Experimenting with settings and causing the actual scene to lose its color greatly reduces the attractiveness of the photo.
In this regard, I have introduced 5 simple things to take amazing photos.
Of course, photos are meant to be freely taken and enjoyed as a hobby. However, the 5 things mentioned above are often forgotten by beginners who are still learning about photography. If you keep these simple things in mind, you will surely be able to take photos that give you satisfaction.
