The Punta Cruz Watchtower, also known as Fuerte de San Vicente Ferrer or Fort of Saint Vincent Ferrer, is a lookout tower built during the Spanish Colonial Era against incoming Moro marauders that strike every southwestern monsoon season.

This tower was finally restored after the devastating 2013 earthquake. Magnitude 7.2

Sea water level in this portion is very deep years ago. And after the magnitude 7.2 the quake lifted the land and that it constitutes an irreplaceable segment of the earth's history and geological heritage. The 2013 earthquake was so powerful that the seabed was lifted up to 1.2 meters.
