I took this photo while hiking down the Magaliesburg mountain near Castle Gorge. The Spider gets it's name from the golden web that it spins. Unfortunately I didn't get a photo of it's top side, but it is gold too. I took the photo with a Canon PowerShot A810
Hope you like it!
Nice photography.Don't stop sharing.
Thanks.
As little children we where so scared of spiders, and also watching spider man as a little child knowing that he was bitten before he transformed made us afraid.
Good photo, but I have a little fear of spiders.
hehehehe
Thanks. Many of my friends are the same.
I'm not a great fan of spider's but I can agree that this is a great photo.
Awesome how you can see it hanging by its Web!!
Good stuff :)
The web is pretty had to miss because it is huge and strong, but the hard part is definitely trying to find the spider in it.
Nice healthy specimen and capture @madiba

I HATE spiders!!!! I have to admit this photo is awesome. This spider looks similar to a species of spiders here in the Bahamas. I have always wonder the name of these spiders. I'm glad i got a name. I kept my distance from them because i didn't know anything about them. *Off to google I go.
I have a good respect for spiders, especially the poisonous ones. It may be the same species of spider or of the same family.
If I see one again I will try to take a picture.
I don't think we have those around here. Very cool looking. I am a bit fascinated with spiders. They definitely have a scary appearance but are great to have in the garden and around the house to control other pest insects.
I think it may be too cold for them where you live, not sure though. I love having spiders in the garden too. Especially hunting spiders because they aren't deadly poisonous.
nice spider with sharp nail...
