The historical bridge of Gorgopotamos in Greece ...

in #photography8 years ago

A long time ago with a friend we had this idea of going and drink our coffees in the historical bridge of Gorgopotamos ( English translation is " fast river" )
The day was beautiful and i had visited the area before so i knew it was full of green which i love so we took my car and visited the place

I can't find anything more refreshing than spending time in nature and enjoying the peace !

I have to tell you that even driving there was magic ! you can see many beautiful places and it's only about 30 minutes from the city of Lamia which makes it a beautiful destination if you wanna do something different ...

on our way to the bridge ...

So we took our coffees on plastic and started our short journey...

and there it is .... a bridge that's intertwined with freedom in my country :)

I won't tell you all the historical details why, cause it's something you can find easy if you google it and that's not my purpose :)
I just wanna share with you my experience as a passenger !

So , we took our coffees and decided to spend some time on the rail lines

and of course as a coffee freak i had to take photos of the coffee action ;)

and of the bridge of course !

I would love to say that i walked on that bridge but since i m afraid of heights and the idea of a train coming from the other side it's not something that i enjoy , i didn't !!!

But ....

I did take some cool pics of me being "brave" from a safe angle :)

i even took a fake nap :)

while my friend was enjoying the view :)

and the sun rays reflected on the lines

and the beautiful nature around me ...

We spend quite some time there so we got lucky and managed to see the train pass ....

on the way from Athens to Thessaloniki

until the bridge was safe and peaceful again :)

and we took the way back to our homes feeling refreshed and happy realizing that having quality time has nothing to do with money but with feelings and beautiful views!

I have many more pics but i don't wanna get's you tired any longer ...

Thank you everyone who took the time to read my blog

and Greetings from Greece !
