Girasoles a orilla de carretera...

En los carnavales del pasado año, Fabiola y yo decidimos viajar a Turén, población venezolana ubicada en los llanos occidentales, que se caracteriza por su vasta producción agrícola, entre los que se destaca el sembradío de girasoles para la elaboración de aceites comestibles.

A unos pocos minutos después de salir de la ciudad de Araure, observamos decenas de vehículos estacionados en el hombrillo de la Autopista José Antonio Páez, y cientos de personas que se confundían entre los sembradíos.

Recorrer, fotografiar y compartir en las Redes Sociales las fotos de los campos de girasoles, se ha convertido en años recientes, una tendencia en Venezuela, e incluso, en otros lugares del mundo.

Durante nuestra visita, procuramos respetar el Medio Ambiente sin causar daños al sembradío, sin arrancar las flores para llevar como souvenir a nuestro regreso a casa.

Al finalizar nuestro recorrido, decidimos continuar nuestro camino para visitar el Templo Votivo Nuestra Señora de Coromoto en la ciudad de Guanare, pero los detalles los dejo para un próximo post...

I'm excited to have warm weather again and flowers that surround me, just like the one in your photo! If you have any tips for me about learning Spanish I would love them! I get to travel to Mexico for the first time in June and my Spanish is a little rusty. Thanks for posting and teasing me with the thought of warm weather! Que tengas un gran día, Buenos Noches!

Thanks @tacosandtequila I would like to help you with spanish but my english is not as good as I wish to. If you´re going to Mexico next June, you should concentrate to learn basic things such as food, addresses, to salute and to thank people, etc. Mexico is a great country, enjoy your trip.

Thanks. Other helpfull tips to practice your spanish is reading in a loud voice newspapers, blogs, articles, whatever you want, and those unknown words to you, look for or search in google translator, for example.
