Water drop shots with my new DIY dropper kit.

Over the last week, I've been re-building my old water-drop project but replacing the Arduino with an ESP8266 device. It's better than the Arduino as it has a much smaller form factor and has inbuilt wifi which allows me to use Blynk as the interface (see below the images) without having to hook the device up to a computer or laptop. I've got it all running off a 12-volt transformer plug which means it has the potential to be totally portable. My next task on the hardware side of things is to make a fully soldered version in a project box. I might even make a user interface online that allows people to play with the drips through a browser. Anyway, here are the photos that I grabbed today. The consistency of the collisions is almost 100% which is frankly amazing for a DIY build.

The liquid in these images is water mixed with xanthan gum as a thickening agent, milk for opacity and food colouring. Hope you like them.
