I shot some long exposures from the district of Niemi. They are of the harbour and Sibelius Hall. It looks as if the tripod wasn't completely still. It was very windy. The shutter speed I used was 30 seconds. In addition to that, the highlights seem to be burned through somewhat. I haven't found exposure bracketing in the menus of my Nikon D3400. Maybe I should just take two different exposures manually. Any tips as to which values to use?
In case you're wondering what that weird blue shine is, I can tell you it is not a UFO I flew to get there but a lamp that stands at the tip of a small cape.
The blue light.
The image quality seems to be ok here.
This is pretty much how it looked to the naked eye. The foreground turned out ok.
This one is the worst of all the pictures. Pretty bad camera shake which you will notice if you look closer.
Well i'm kinda fascinated with the third and fourth photo; they have all the distopic look and feeling of the futuristic cities. Keep the experimentation going on! Well done :)
The blurred images are for the shaky camera, you should use a heavy tripod or a bag to make it more stiff and could use the auto shutter to delay 1 or 2 seconds the shoot of the camera, that would help.
The D3400 don't have exposure bracketing, it comes with higher models. You're going to need take two or more shots with different exposures manually.

Yes, I know they're from camera shake. It was so windy that hanging a bag from the hook at the bottom of the center of the tripod would've have helped because the bag would've just swung back and forth in the wind. The auto shutter delay is a good tip. I'll have to look for it in the menus.
Yeah, I noticed that the D3400 doesn't have exposure bracketing. But it's ok because I can use my tripod to take two or more exposure of the same frame.
Thank you for your comments!
Nice shots, well done !
Oh! I want to play with long exposure too with my iPhone!!

Do you have a camera stand?

Sadly! It was stolen some time ago!!
So, I might look for a small foldable one!
How do I take this kind of photo in iPhone?!

You put your phone on a stable surface while attached to a stand of some sort. Then you set the exposure values manually from the camera application. I don't know which menus you need to use because I don't have an iPhone. But my Android phone has a so called Pro state that allows you to set exposure variables yourself.
Thank you very much for your suggestions. I would try to follow these, I am sure I should find something!
