Thought everyone might need something cute to end their weekend with! This chap is a Little Red Flying Fox (Pteropus scapulatus) and is the smallest species of megabat in Australia. He's part of an enormous colony mostly made up of Black Flying Foxes (Pteropus alecto), so they're a bit of a minority group in this particular region. Little reds are mostly pollinators, and have been known to follow the trail of blooming Eucalypts over vast distances - more than any other bat species! Because of this, they migrate seasonally between the coast, rainforests, and even arid regions depending on the food available.
Very nice photography is very good thanks to sharing beautiful photos among us
