This poor guy was stuck in in a spider web in our barn basement wiggling around trying to get free. I released him so that he would not die because they are helpful to kill unwanted insects and they are neat to look at. We have a good population of them crawling around the barn and garage buildings. This young fellow gets to live another day.
This may become a new series of critters I see often on our property if you all express interest. We have a lot of wildlife around our homestead because we are far from the city and we own several acres of woods around us. If you want to see more critters please let me know in the comments and I will continue to post more. My intentions isn't to be scientific like some of @papa-pepper articles but more just pictures and how I found them and what I think about them. Thanks for reading.
IS THAT A BLACK WIDOW SPIDER?! Pfffffft No thank you!! Hahah.
Wow, hard to imagine some LIZARDS getting stuck in spider web! I am glad you saved him!! How colorful! We don't have colorful lizards here. Haha.
I don't think we have black widows here in Indiana, but I am also not sure what kind of spider that is. I like how colorful he is too, kind of like a painted turtle we have around here. There are a lot of dull colored things here too. lol
You do, they're everywhere! :) this might be one!
yikes, well I feel the same way about spiders as I do snakes. I give them space so they give me space.
Sometimes I spray the spiders with water when they make nests in places that are too close!! Haha
