On the north side of Morrow Bay Rock surfers take advantage of the incoming storm creating big swells. I'm not a surfer but I can appreciate the coordination and balance required to ride the waves. It is normally cold on morrow bay compared to what most people think of a 'California Beach' and this day was no exception. They day was not ruined however because all the shops were still open and people still went about their normal day, including the brave surfers in wet suits!
