I love getting up close to animals to photograph them. Most creatures are too skittish to let you get a good shot. But, farm animals seem willing and ready to stride the catwalk for you – LOL.
These pictures are of some very cooperative and photogenic cows I shot on one of my rural outings. I have many, many more cow photos, but these came out as pretty decent cattle portraits. It was frigid cold that day. My hair fell down, out of the knot I'd tied it in and was streaming haphazardly around me, often getting in the way of my lens. It's a good thing I started with an empty SD card, eh? 😎
You really nailed that innocent look that I think cows posses. Looking at your shots, you make it look easy, but, I know from my own experience, they can be awkward to photograph in just the right position.

I've always found cows to be willing subjects, happily coming over for close-range shots the moment they see you. :D
Yeah, they meander toward you as soon as you approach the fencing. It's not surprising, really. Human's mean food and/or hearty pats.
They look healthy and vibrant. The last one on the image looks more like a horse.
