The Last Shot

The picture you just saw took over 1hr 30mins to perfect. It was taken by one of the best Photographers I know of today and he goes by the name Umar Naqshbandi. It took a lot of effort and energy to take the picture, both from the photographer's side and my side. Why did it take so long? Some of you might ask. Let me explain the shot's process to you.

Beneath me lied a wet Park Table which I had to climb and strapped around me was my 3 kg bag. It rained the night before and it was very cloudy the following morning, so the Photographer (Umar Naqshbandi) had his umbrella with him just in case it rains again.

Fortunately, it did not rain, at least while we were still shooting and Umar, being a very creative and talented individual quickly saw an opportunity for his umbrella to make a difference. He handed me his umbrella, told me to put it up (open it), and jump as high as possible while keeping my face and eyes focused on the camera. Now, that might seem like an easy task for some of your experienced models, but for someone like me who was modelling for the first time, it felt almost impossible. Shots after shots after shot, we couldn't get it right, partially due to my inability to focus on the camera and due to it being the first time Umar will ever try such a shot. We kept trying for over 1hr 20min till we decided to take the last shot and call it a day.

The Last Shot was what you've just witnessed. As you can see, it is very Graceful, Elegant, Expressive , Exuberant, Majestic, Beautiful. The point is that it came out great because we persevered, we remained Consistent and Focused. We worked together as a team, cooperated and supported each other to achieve a common goal. That is what life is about. That is what success is about.

Therefore, to you all struggling out other (myself included), to all of you that feel like you've been trying but haven't been getting results, to you all that feel like giving up, know that Your Last Shot is coming, and it will feel very Graceful! Keep on Trying, Keep on Grinding, Keep on Pushing, Keep on Praying, and NEVER LOOSE HOPE.

"I'm Mubarak Showole, and this is The Last Shot."
