Great shots! Too bad it was dead, though that does make it a bit easier and safer to work with! I found one, also dead, but it had been crushed on the road and was not model material. :(

I clean pools as a second (third?) job, so I find dead bugs pretty frequently — find a lot of centipedes, but I've never taken one back home before. Think it was worth it! I definitely wouldn't be taking closeups of a live one.
Haha, yes I imagine lots of things would fall into the water and in pretty good condition sometimes too. The first dead thing I took home to photograph was a Giant Japanese Hornet, another thing you don't want to get close to when it's alive! It did make for some good pictures though.
